The first night we watched this amazing sunset from their porch.
We definitely HAD to spend our last day in Destin at the beach. I thought this was so cool...if you get to the beach early enough you can see the crab holes and tracks in the sand before they get destroyed by people walking on them. I wonder what those crabs are up to in the middle of the night?

Aubrey was having soooooooooo much fun running fast and far away from us.
On our last night we went to an early dinner. It was a cool enough evening that the girls wanted to wear their jackets. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at this restaurant that was right on the beach. 
I had promised the girls that when we went to the beach we would collect seashells. Although I grew up going to Destin, I forgot that there aren't too many shells on the beach. Thank you to Daddy for searching for as many shells as he could find in the water. We could not have left without "she-shells" to show our friends and family!
We hung around the house that morning and tried to stay out of the way by doing all sorts of fun things like bouncing on balls...

That afternoon we headed to the pool with Daddy.
I wonder if it is hard to swim with your sunglasses on???
Carter was such a trooper hanging out in his stroller. He even took a nap in it while we swam.

We played around in the baby pool before heading over to the bigger pool to do some serious swimming and jumping off the side!

The guys were coming in from their 12 hour trip at 6:00 so we headed over to the dock to meet them and see what they caught. Although we live less than 2 hours from the gulf, this was the first time Mike had the opportunity to go deep sea fishing and to say he loved it would be an understatement. His only concern was seasickness but because the weather was so beautiful the waves weren't too big and he did great. He did say while he was standing on the dock, he still felt like he was swaying out in the water. This was a very memorable day for him.
A few of my dad's friends came down from St. Louis to go with them.
The catch
Mike caught the first and biggest fish of the day. I guess those fish put up a fight about being caught so he was a little bruised and banged up. That's my man!

It was so neat to watch this bird less than 4 feet away from us eating the bait that the guys had left over.

Hello Lily! 
All three girls slept together on the floor so the first night and the first naptime took a little longer to get them to sleep because they were so excited to be with each other. Mommy and Daddy got to take a couple of naps also just to help with them actually sleeping.

Lily and Emery loved it when Grandpa sprayed them with water and the fan. It helped cool them off!
We had to feed the seagulls some of our snacks. Who would have thought those birds would like goldfish as much as the Hall girls do?!?!?
Emery wanted to put water in her bucket to make sand castles but the waves would knock her over and she would sink in the sand from the undertow. Maybe when she is a little bigger she will be able to conquer the big ocean by herself.

Carter's first time to be in saltwater. It might have been kinda cold for the little guy.

Grandpa grilled delicious dinners a couple of the nights we were there. After all that playing in the sand, water and sun, they were definitely hungry!
